2000 professionals in traumatology and orthopaedics meet at the 59th SECOT Congress

Advances in sustainability in the city and at the Conference Centre were one of the main factors when it came to choosing the location of the congress

SECOT raises awareness and encourages experts to share their experiences in “an eco-sustainable building”

“We are meeting in Valencia to hold our main congress, because it meets all the conditions we need for the development of the event. Transport links are excellent, as is the city itself. The climate, the food, the light”. “The Conference Centre is a light and airy eco-sustainable space”.

These are the words of Doctor Luis Ramos, president of Spanish Society for Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT), who recently visited us to finalise the details of the 59th SECOT Congress and, taking advantage of his meeting with our colleagues in the Operations area, we spoke with him. The president of the congress, Francisco Baixauli.also emphasised sustainable mobility. The Conference Centre encourages its clients to hold sustainable events and to practice sustainable mobility by staying in the hotels attached to the building. Both consider sustainability to be one of the key elements for their main event, which will bring together more than 2,000 experts in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology in our building between 28 and 30 September.

Increasing numbers of clients are looking for emblematic buildings that are also committed to sustainability, which is why there is a clear synergy between their teams and that of the Valencia Conference Centre.

During the congress, as well as sharing clinical cases, advances in biological therapies and microsurgery will be addressed, as well as technology in clinical processes, augmented reality and surgical navigation.
