The Conference Centre and ADEIT have an ongoing collaboration agreement to promote meeting tourism in Valencia
“Ambassadors of the Valencia Conference Centre play a fundamental role as promoters of the city. As Valencian professionals of recognized prestige, they know perfectly well and are able to transmit the benefits of working in a headquarters with the capacity and resources offered by this building. They are committed to Valencia ”.
This is how Bárbara Díaz, director of Conferences and Organization of Activities at ADEIT, ADEIT Foundation of the University of Valencia, defines ambassadors—key figures in promoting conference tourism in our city. And she adds that ADEIT “provides additional knowledge on the city’s environment, prestige, its multiple and extensive relationships and its legal framework. Since ADEIT is the University’s own channel, we also try to generate synergies by bringing activities closer to their socio-economic environment ”.
In meetings held between the commercial area of the Valencia Conference Centre, headed by Encarna Soler and ADEIT Fundació Universitat-Empresa de València praise for the Centre’s ambassadors came up immediately in the conversation, because both teams share a special relationship with them. The figure of the ambassador inspires the work of both bodies, which work together hand in hand thanks to a collaboration agreement they have had since 2016 with one significant aim: to attract new events of economic and social impact for Valencia.
Currently, they are working on several candidacies for important international scientific meetings ,and to date, several large-scale conferences have been held successfully in the city of Valencia with a worldwide impact. The 22nd edition of the GR22 “International Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation”, the 13th edition of the “Eduardo Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves”, the SIP/IOBC 2019 “International Conference on Invertebrate Pathology and Microbial Control & 52nd Annual Meeting of the Society for Invertebrate Pathology & the 17th Meeting of the IOBC-WPRS Working Group” are only some of them.
Barbara has been familiar with the MICE sector for over 20 years. She specializes in the organization of conferences and events and, for 6 years, has been the champion of the Department of Conferences and Organization of Activities of the ADEIT University-Company Foundation. When asked about her work together with the Conference Centre team, she replied: “Our experience is based on teamwork. The level of demands, our advance preparation and the supervision of all elements brought into play in the organization of a conference are, together with customer satisfaction, our major focus”.
