Gestionando Hijos (Managing Children) is calling in at Valencia for the first time

The event, to be held on 5 October at the Valencia Conference Centre, will be attended by leading experts presenting educational guidelines and tools to the audience

Over a thousand parents and education professionals are set to attend

After being held in Madrid and Barcelona for four years, the 13th ‘Gestionando hijos, el mayor evento de educación’ (Managing Children, the greatest education event) tour for parents and education professionals is coming to Valencia in partnership with publishing group Prensa Ibérica. To date over 9,000 people have benefited from this large gathering about educating children aimed at parents and teachers in Spain and it has featured more than 70 speakers.

The event is to be held from 9 am to 2 pm on 5 October at the Valencia Conference Centre. Led by Gestionando Hijos director Leo Farache and journalist and presenter Silvia Tomás, it will bring together the foremost experts in education in Spain.

Admission is free and includes attendance at seven presentations addressing topics as significant as educating through sport, gender violence, music as an educational tool and couples’ shared responsibility for educating their children. On the list of speakers are Pedro García Aguado, Javier Palop, Alberto Soler, Marina Marroquí, Alba Castelví, José Carlos Ruiz, Alberto Soler, Jaime Buhigas and Salva López, a distinguished cast of multidisciplinary professionals who are specialists in subjects such as psychology, gender violence, sociology, preventing ICT use and treating addiction.

In addition, with kids in mind the organisers are offering families coming to the event the chance to get tickets for children aged 3-12 to do workshops in a play centre set up for this purpose inside the building.
