On its ninth anniversary it is worth pointing out that the Conference Centre has hosted over 1,500 national and international events in its various spaces, attended by more than a million participants from all over the world. Bookings for future events taking place as late as 2015 have already been made. Over the last nine years the Centre has witnessed numerous national and international conferences, business conventions and all sorts of symposia in which major specialists have participated. This has made us the Valencia reference conference venue. As for the future, our aim is to continue our quality strategy including the rendering of integral services in order to facilitate the organisation of our clients conferences.
The Centre has received major signs of public recognition such as the 1999 best European building award given by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the 2001 third best conference centre worldwide award given by the International Conference Centre Association and the 2001 best Spanish conference centre award given by the Spanish Federation of Professional Conference Organisers. Besides, in 2004 the Centre became one of the few conference centres worldwide to achieve the double recognition acknowledged through the Certificate of Integrated Systems ISO 9001 and 14001.
The culmination of our distinction list came in 2005 with the awarding of the acknowledgement of our quality as a tourist destination in the conference sector: the Spanish Institute for Tourist Quality “Q” award. Located in a prime site by one of Valencia´s main access routes, the Centre is extremely well connected to the whole of the city by underground, bus and tram. It is only four kilometres from Valencia international airport which boasts a large number of direct flights to the main European cities. The fact that five new hotels have recently opened their doors very close to the Centre facilitates the stay of all Conference Centre users as these hotels are all within easy walking distance some five minutes from resting place to work centre. This provides added value to the Centre as compared with other venues of a similar nature. The Valencia Conference Centre celebrates its ninth anniversary in the satisfaction of having greatly contributed to the development of our city, consolidating its position as one of Valencia´s most distinctive buildings and becoming a symbol and point of reference for the organisation of meetings
