Our commitment to safety also extends to our cuisine

Gourmet Catering, our strategic catering partner, is already Safe Tourism Certified, a distinction awarded by the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE) which certifies the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety System for COVID-19.

The Conference Centre and Gourmet Catering work together in the implementation of a specific COVID-19 protocol

Over the last few months, the Valencia Conference Centre has worked tirelessly alongside the Gourmet Catering team to implement a specific safety protocol and continue to offer new gastronomic experiences. In this sense, we have decided to provide an individual service, assisted by support staff and adapted to the needs of each event. This complements our strategic partner’s commitment to the environment.

 What are the implemented measures?

Staff access to the facilities will be staggered and will include strict temperature controls. Uniforms will be washed daily and individually wrapped to prevent contact with the exterior. The use of face masks and gloves will be compulsory during events, in compliance with the health and hygiene measures established by the Valencia Conference Centre.

Safety distances will be marked at key points to prevent any potential crowding as well as between tables. Cleaning will be reinforced during the catering service and the use of outdoor spaces will be promoted, encouraging the use of recycled and biodegradable materials in bars, and ancillary items such as pallets, wooden boxes, and rustic tables outdoors. Unique spaces, where creativity and sustainability are the protagonists.

In terms of menu design and format, the catering service will always be individual, served by waiters. We will also promote the proposals of packed lunches and take-away options for delegates. The tableware remains sustainable without compromising its functionality, such as bamboo, palm leaves, wood, and compostable products, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
