Three international Congresses generate 13,000 overnight stays in May

The forecasts for 2018 suggesting that the Valencia venue was going to have a strong international presence have been confirmed by its May schedule featuring three major conferences: the 19th European Congress on Trauma & Emergency Surgery (EATES-ESTES), the most important European event in its study area; the AIACE 2018 Congress, organised by the International Association of Former Officials of the European Union, whose delegates came mainly from Belgium, France and Luxembourg; and the 45th European Calcified Tissue Society Congress (ECTS), featuring attendees largely from Europe including Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway and Greece, but also from the United States, Taiwan, Japan, China and South Korea. These three events have drawn around 4,000 participants and generated over 13,000 overnight stays in Valencia.
The two healthcare congresses were interactive. At the EATES-ESTES Congress, numerous specialists discussed the latest breakthroughs and treatment of injuries, high-energy trauma, intra-abdominal infection, complex fractures and interventional radiology. Meanwhile the event run by the European Calcified Tissue Society, which has over 30 national and international member societies, brought together for the most part clinical researchers and professionals in osteoporosis, arthritis and other joint diseases, cartilage disorders, rheumatology, child bone health, cancer and bone, muscle and sarcopenia. Here the main objectives were to move existing therapies forwards, improve treatments for patients with calcified tissue, drive research and achieve new treatment approaches.
Leading international companies such as Mondial and Interplan, which are based in Austria and Germany respectively, helped organise both events and underscored the Centre’s professionalism and flexibility in hosting this type of congress.
