Music and fun; lots of fun. This is what will be coming to the Valencia Conference Centre during the next quarter. The busy schedule for the coming months includes several shows that are expected to attract a large number of spectators.

The first is the tribute to Queen, one of the 20th century’s most iconic groups which still has millions of followers around the world. On 19th October, the band God Save the Queen will be recreating Live at Wembley!, one of the most important concerts of the group’s 1986 farewell tour.

The level of detail in lighting, wardrobe, sound and performance is such that the Argentinian group has achieved numerous awards. These include recognition from Rolling Stone magazine, which has rated them as “the best tribute band in the world”, and Queen’s own guitarist Brian May, who describes the group’s work as “fantastic”.

Just two days later, on 21st October, the Argentinian duo Pimpinela will be taking to the stage with their entire discography. Songs as popular as “Olvídame y pega la vuelta” and “Esa chica y yo” will be heard in every corner of the Conference Centre auditorium thanks to its perfect acoustics.

Later, on 28th December, Mecano will be returning to Valencia. Although the Spanish group disbanded 25 years ago after its last Aidalai Tour, it has enjoyed several revivals such as the musical by Nacho Cano, Hoy no me puedo levantar.

Now, to commemorate this anniversary, the singer Robin Torres from Seville is leading Hija de la Luna, a project that pays tribute to one of Spain’s most influential bands.

Finally, and to start 2019 on a high note, Dire Straits will once again be performing on 12th January through the tribute group, Brothers in Band.

The Very Best of Dire Straits brings together the most famous songs recorded by this English group from 1978 to 1991, thanks to a group of nine musicians who sound so like Dire Straits that when the group’s keyboard player, Guy Fletcher, heard them he said “I thought it was one of our own recordings”.
