We are supporting the ‘Valencia against Cancer’ charity initiative
RunCáncer Circuit bib numbers to be handed out in our building on 18-19 October
The Valencia Conference Centre is partnering the Spanish Cancer Association at the Runners’ Fair
Sunday, 20 October. 9 o’clock in the morning. Paseo de la Alameda in Valencia, right in the heart of the city. Over 10,000 people will gather at the RunCáncer Circuit, one of the largest charity events in Europe and organised by the Spanish Cancer Association (AECC) Valencia as part of its ‘Valencia against Cancer’ charity initiative. 10,000 supportive people committed to the fight against cancer will dash through the streets with the aim of raising public awareness about the importance of healthy habits.
Bib numbers for the race will be handed out at the Runners’ Fair to be held in our building on 18-19 October; the 19th is also World Breast Cancer Day. Opening hours will be from 10 am to 8 pm.
This means the Valencia Conference Centre is supporting this initiative for the third year in a row as it makes its facilities available to AECC Valencia for this charity event. Proceeds from registration will go towards cancer research projects.
Our CSR work with the AECC
This is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions we have undertaken with the AECC this year. We have also provided it with our building to host the 1st Valencian Region Congress for People with Cancer and their Relatives, which was held on 8-9 February 2019 and brought together more than a thousand people.
This CSR work was recently awarded by the AECC in recognition of our voluntary contribution to the charity’s social improvement programmes.
AECC Chair Tomás Trénor additionally thanks us for our charity work in this video.
Registrations are available at www.runcancer.com and www.toprun.es for €5, all of which goes to charity.
