For a Sustainable, Safe and Healthy Valencia

We have organised this in-person event with the Valencia Convention Bureau to promote the MICE industry and sustainable tourism in the city

The Centre to receive AENOR certification for being pioneers in calculating the carbon footprint of our activities

Valencia and the MICE industry have kept moving forward during the pandemic. They have adapted to the new circumstances in record time and after equipping themselves with the latest technology and introducing a whole host of innovations, conference centres are now offering premium quality face-to-face events. These are safe events with the highest guarantees which ensure their viability and a bright future. The future of the industry. The Valencia Conference Centre and the Valencia Convention Bureau, which have proved to be a constant, strengthening their position during the pandemic, are bringing together all the players in the MICE sector to promote the reactivation of events under the umbrella of Visit Valencia.

On 11 March, at midday, the Sustainable, Safe and Healthy Valencia event will be held at the Conference Centre (also available in streaming), which will be attended by the majority of the MICE industry, such as event clients, associations and other organisations.

The MICE industry, which is more united than ever, will be meeting again in our building to join forces and relaunch events, as well as showcasing the progress made by Valencia and The Conference Centre in terms of sustainability. During the pandemic, huge strides have been made in sustainable tourism, to the point of becoming the first city in the world to verify and certify the carbon footprint of tourism activities, with the Conference Centre as a pioneer.

During the event, which will be attended by the Valencia City Council and the Valencian Regional Government, the digital sustainability system will be presented and AENOR will be presenting the Conference Centre with a certificate for calculating the carbon footprint of its activities.

A round table, moderated by the Director of Grupo EventoPlus, Eric Mottard, will be held with the participation of the Director of AECOC, José María Bonmatí, the Director of the Valencia Marathon, Paco Borao, the Programme Director of World Design Capital Valencia 2022, Corinna Heilmann, and the Organisation Secretary of the UGT trade union, Rafael Espartero.
