The 23rd National Pharmaceutical Congress will be hosted at the Valencia Conference Centre in 2024.

The 23rd National Pharmaceutical Congress will take place in 2024 in the European Green Capital.

The Congress will take place at the Valencia Conference Centre from 7 to 9 February 2024. It will bring together over two thousand pharmaceutical professionals through a quality scientific programme, presentations, and other activities of great interest to all areas of Pharmacy development. The congress will include over 40 scientific sessions and two parallel symposia: Hospital Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Distribution.

The Congress slogan is ‘Transforming healthcare with the pharmacist’. The Organising and Scientific Committee, with this slogan, aims to convey the message that pharmacists must play a fundamental role in the transformation that healthcare must undergo. This role will be crucial in addressing future challenges such as ageing, chronic illness, dependence, digitalisation, and polymedication.

The 23rd National Pharmaceutical Congress will not only be an event but also a testament to your unwavering commitment to sustainability. To encourage sustainable transportation, attendees are encouraged to walk or use public transport to the Conference Centre. The market catering will feature fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. Information will be distributed digitally to reduce paper waste. Additionally, all materials used, including stands and accreditations, will be made from ‘recycled and recyclable’ materials.

Additionally, the event’s carbon footprint will be measured and offset through an official project of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge. This project involves reforestation of the El Castro and Tajuqeras Mountains in the Rincón de Ademuz (Valencia).

“As pharmacists, we are dedicated to promoting both human health and the health of the planet. By prioritising the protection of the planet, we are fulfilling our duty as healthcare professionals. A healthy planet is essential for healthy people, which is why we have made the National Congress a sustainable event.” Jesús Aguilar, president of the General Council of Pharmacists Associations in Spain, affirms.
