The Conference Centre is driving forward its recruitment strategy with a strong international presence

The Valencia Conference Centre continues to strengthen its position as a leading destination for business tourism through intensive marketing and promotional activities

During the height of summer, the Valencia Conference Centre scales back its events programme to carry out maintenance work. However, work continues inside the building to prepare for future events. One of the most important tasks in this regard is attracting new business.

In this regard, the Palacio has submitted 119 bids for major events in the first half of this year, with dates stretching as far as 2032. This volume of proposals demonstrates the intensity of the commercial efforts and the commitment to a long-term strategy aimed at attracting high-impact conferences for the city.

At the same time, 28 new national and international conferences and conventions have been confirmedduring this same period, the result of ongoing efforts in positioning, client relations and the follow-up of opportunities developed over several financial years.

Commercial initiatives with a significant impact on international positioning

Participation in professional events and specialist trade fairs has been key to boosting the visibility of the Valencia Conference Centre and consolidating its presence within the sector’s main decision-making circles.

Among the most significant initiatives are:

  • Participation in AMEX Interaction, organised by the Valencia Convention Bureau, which has helped to raise the profile of the venue and the destination amongst agencies and corporations, facilitating the identification of new business opportunities.
  • Participation in the Event Buyer Summit – Club Associations Forum 2026 organised by Europe Congress (held in Budapest), a highly specialised forum in the international associations sector, which facilitates access to key decision-makers and enhances the city’s international conference profile.
  • Attendance at IMEX Frankfurt, a global gathering of the MICE industry, which serves as a strategic platform for increasing the destination’s international visibility, generating qualified leads and reinforcing Valencia’s image as a city well-equipped to host large-scale events.

At national level, the 6th Workshop of the Spanish Association of Conference Centres (APCE), held in Valencia, has helped to strengthen the national network of contacts and generate new opportunities for direct collaboration with event organisers. Furthermore, our presence in Madrid at the MIS (Meetings & Incentive Summit) event organised by Eventoplus has facilitated direct networking with companies, agencies and organisers, as well as the identification of new trends and opportunities within the sector.

Generating opportunities and a long-term vision

The combination of intensive commercial activity, both nationally and internationally, together with the ongoing submission of bids, enables the Valencia Conference Centre to maintain a steady flow of medium and long-term opportunities.

These initiatives not only contribute to the direct attraction of events, but also play a key role in generating international visibility, forging strategic relationships with influencers and decision-makers, and strengthening the conference positioning of the Conference Centre and Valencia as a destination within a highly competitive environment.

All of this translates into a future programme aligned with the objectives of attracting value-added events and consolidating the economic, social and reputational impact of conference tourism in the city.
