The Valencia Conference Centre’s Managing Director, Sylvia Andrés, is to take part in a roundtable on the future of conference centres at the 16th APCE Congress.

With less than a month to go before the start of the 16th Spanish Association of Conference Centres (APCE)Congress which is to be held from 3-5 July, here we’d like to tell you about some of the topics that will be covered in the presentations and roundtables at this national event. In particular, our Centre’s Managing Director,Sylvia Andrés, is to attend as a speaker to address the future of conference venues.

The setting chosen for this year’s event is the INFECAR Gran Canaria Convention Centre, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The Centre will be playing host to the heads of the leading Spanish MICE venues which, as every year, will be getting together to discuss the hottest topics in the event tourism industry.

In parallel, the programme includes business and technical forums which will look at the role of convention bureaus in attracting conferences, how to get the best out of teams, leadership 3.0, catering and the digital transformation of conference centres and today’s maintenance and security challenges. The event will also feature Mario Cajiao, Vice-President of the Bogotá International Business and Convention Centre, who will talk about his experience at the Ágora Convention Centre and will be joining the roundtable on the future of conference centres.
