The great SEMERGEN congress returns for the second time to the Valencia Conference Centre
The 45th National SEMERGEN Conference, which will welcome more than 4000 Family and Community Medicine experts, will be held at the Valencia Conference Centre from 18 to 21 October 2021.
The Organising Committee and the Scientific Committee of the conference joined forces to prepare an unforgettable conference, designed to keep specialists continuously updated on the skills needed to provide optimal patient care. “We want to prepare a congress that helps all those involved in the world of Family and Community Medicine to update the skills we need to provide care to our patients, with the most up-to-date training tools and with the use and knowledge of new technologies as allies at the present time,” says Dr. Maria Inmaculada Cervera, president of the Organising Committee of the conference.
Although this conference has already been held at Valencia on different occasions, 2023 is a special milestone, as SEMERGEN celebrates its 50th anniversary. The organisation took its first steps with rural doctors in the province of Castellón, who were looking for up-to-date, quality training. “This is why Valencia is our chosen city in which to celebrate the anniversary, and the Valencia Conference Centre is the ideal location to hold a conference with these characteristics”, states Dr. Vicente Pallarés, president of the conference’s Scientific Society.
This emblematic date, according to Dr Cervera, provides an opportunity to honour our founding roots and values, while facing with boldness and determination the challenges present in daily healthcare practice, research and teaching.
