The Valencia Conference Centre receives the SICTED Quality Tourism Label
The Valencia Conference Centre is one of the Valencian companies to have been awarded the SICTED Quality Tourism Label
The Secretary of State for Tourism awarded a total of 108 SICTED (Comprehensive System for Quality Assurance in Spanish Tourist Destinations) labels to Valencian companies this year. 22 were awarded the label for the first time and 86 were renewals.
SICTED is a system aimed at driving continuous improvement in the provision of tourism services, jointly promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism and the Autonomous Communities. By signing collaboration agreements, the different regions manage their development and implementation. The main objective is to achieve homogenous high quality across all services with which tourists interact in specific destinations. It also aims to promote continuous improvement among all involved players with a Quality Committee.
The label was awarded during an event organised by the Visit Valencia Foundation at the Olympia Theatre. Councillor for Tourism and Internationalisation and Chair of Visit Valencia, Emiliano García, and the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, both highlighted the efforts of the city’s tourism sector in terms of quality and good sustainable practices.
The label, which is awarded to companies that fulfil the requirements set by the Comprehensive System for Quality Assurance in Spanish Tourist Destinations, was awarded to Sylvia Andrés, Managing Director of the Valencia Conference Centre.
“It was an honour to be awarded the label once again this year. It recognises the team’s hard efforts, as well as our involvement in the city’s strategy to be a fully sustainable destination,” said Sylvia Andrés.
