This earned us the World’s Best Convention Centre twice, in 2018 and 2010, the most prestigious international award from the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC), which recognises excellence in management, facilities, equipment, services, accessibility and accommodation capacity. In 2001, we were also awarded the first Annual OPC prize from the Spanish Federation of Professional Convention Organisers for the quality of our service and facilities provided, which helped put our city on the map for hosting conventions.

Our building is a landmark architectural work by the celebrated architect Norman Foster. It was awarded Best European Building by the Royal Institute of British Architects a year after its opening in 1999.
