Valencia to become Spain’s cybersecurity capital
CyberCamp is taking place on 27-30 November at the Valencia Conference Centre
The event’s primary goal is to promote the culture of cybersecurity in society
It could be the next episode of Mr. Robot, the American TV series in which the main character is a computer security engineer who shows how vulnerable society is to cyberattacks. However, what our building will see in a few weeks’ time is fact not fiction.
After being held in Madrid, Santander, Leon and Malaga, Valencia is the venue for CyberCamp 2019, the major cybersecurity event organised by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Business’ National Institute for Cybersecurity, an agency that promotes the culture of cybersecurity in society, provides career guidance to young people and makes families aware of the importance of safe and responsible use of ICT and the Internet.
The event will bring together approximately 3,000 people in our building and feature activities for industry professionals, talks and workshops by cybersecurity experts and an online cybersecurity job and talent forum, competitions and educational activities for all audiences.
Moreover, and following their success at CyberCamp 2018, also back this year are the CyberOlympics, the championship for schools, and the Hackathon, the individual or team contest for developing and improving security tools, applications and solutions in the field of cybersecurity.
Attendance is free and you only need to register online or in person when you come to the event. In addition, the Call for Papers gives everyone the chance to submit their proposal for a cybersecurity-related presentation or workshop.
You can see the Call for Papers rules for participation here.
