The SEICAP will hold the annual congress at the Valencia Conference Centre from the 16th to the 18th of May

From 16th to 18th May 2019, the Valencia Conference Centre will be playing host to leading specialists in paediatric allergies and asthma who carry out research and work on the treatment of immuno-allergic diseases, their prevention and other related issues aimed at improving the quality of life of children with these pathologies.

After previous congresses held in Malaga, Saragossa and Barcelona, Valencia has once again been chosen as the venue for the 43rd Congress of the Spanish Society of Paediatric Asthma, Allergology and Clinical Immunology (SEICAP). This event, in which paediatricians and allergists from Spain’s main paediatric allergy units will be taking part, will be showcasing “Trending Topics in Clinical Immunology”, as well as interacting with Valencian society through workshops and an Allergy Health Fair for patients and their families.

On this occasion, the scheduled round tables will be addressing skin care as primary allergy prevention, the latest developments in oral food tolerance induction and biological treatments in paediatric allergies. The programme for delegates will also include workshops on immunotherapy, the daily lives of children with food allergies and reactions to medication.

As usual, and in parallel to the Congress, there will be a host of other events taking place, such as the Paediatric Allergy Training Day for paediatricians, the 11th Allergy Health Fair, an Allergic Child Day aimed at patients, families and society in general to give them an insight into the latest developments in the prevention and treatment of allergic pathologies. Concurrently, specialists will be sharing experiences and knowledge with the nursing staff from Paediatric Allergy Departments and Units at the “9th Allergy Nursing Symposium”, to be held on 17th and 18th May.

The event will also have an area for professional networking with the pharmaceutical industry, including specific sessions, breakfasts and lunches with experts, to showcase the latest developments in the sector.
