The Valencia Conference Centre has been a key driver in the economy and the cradle of urban transformation for one of Valencia’s main arteries.
Close your eyes and think who you were 25 years ago. Has much changed? A lot has at the Valencia Conference Centre. For a quarter of a century, we have been the one pulling the trigger on the starting gun. On 2 July 1998, we opened the doors of our building that would be the precursor to the transformation of Valencia city’s north-east region. Nowadays, it is an iconic building attracting people from all over the country and the world. Since the internationally renowned architect Norman Foster designed Valencia Conference Centre, these are some of our big achievements:
2.4 MILLION attendees
3,300 EVENTS hosted.
We have also been recognised as
the World’s Best Convention Centre in 2010 and 2018 (AIPC Apex Award from the International Association of Convention Centres)
Of all the events hosted at Valencia Conference Centre, more than 1000 have been congresses and conventions, which have attracted more than 665,000 people. 85% of people who have come to Valencia Conference Centre have travelled from other parts of the country or from abroad.
What does this mean for Valencia?
This has meant that there have been more than 2.4 million overnight stays in Valencia due to Valencia Conference Centre visits, which has been a great boost to the local economy and has made Valencia a place of international importance for congresses. In the current rankings published by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), we are 28th in Europe and 36th in the world.
Valencia city and the Valencia Conference Centre find themselves at a pinnacle moment with the 25th Anniversary of our conference centre building. And we have put together a number of initiatives over the years that have allowed you to experience new things. You can find out all about them by following this link.
