We are supporting the next charity campaigns by lighting up the building to promote public awareness
This Corporate Social Responsibility initiative helps us to move towards compliance with the UN’s SDGs
Visiting our building is a great experience. In addition to being exciting, it is also a smart, versatile building, capable of adapting to the needs of both national and international customers. It is a venue that surprises visitors with its boundless natural light. It makes a real impact on everybody who comes here. It is a real treasure trove of surprises in which we discover something new every day. And now…
It’s also a chameleon-like building! Yes, it changes colour. Gold, green, blue, pink, orange, red, and all the colours of the rainbow. And all for a good cause. The Valencia Conference Centre will be lit up on the main awareness days and will be participating in the initiatives organised by Valencia City Council. The idea behind this project is to capture the public’s attention and make them think, increasing their awareness of charitable causes. This initiative shows us the most human side of the Palace and its commitment to complying with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.
Multipurpose Room 1 will be lit up in blue on 23 and 24 November, to celebrate ‘European December’; on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, our building will be coloured purple, and on 27 November it will be yellow, to show our support for Amnesty International’s ‘Cities for Life Day’, a public awareness campaign that advocates the abolition of the death penalty.
We recently lit up our building in gold to participate in the international ‘Shine Gold’ initiative #EnciendeLaEsperanza, launched by the Valencian Region’s Association of Parents of Children with Cancer (ASPANION), together with the Spanish Federation of Parents of Children with Cancer, as a tribute to children and young people fighting this disease and in which the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOP Europe) and Childhood Cancer International (CCI) also played an active role.
On the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, we lit the building up in green and on International Tourism Day the colours of the Valencian flag (red, blue and yellow) were chosen to light up Multipurpose Room 1, to support the Valencian Region’s tourism industry
