Experts in computer architecture have chosen Norman Foster’s Centre in Valencia to hold the 14th HiPEAC conference on 21-23 January 2019.
The HiPEAC gathering is the premier European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for embedded and general-purpose systems. The Valencia Conference Centre is to host the three-day congress which will feature associated workshops, tutorials, special sessions and an industrial exhibition which will run in parallel with the conference.
The meeting will bring together leading computer architecture experts from all around the world. Members of its committees include José Duato, professor and researcher at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Li-Shiuan Peh, Professor of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore, Diana Göhringer, Professor of adaptive dynamic systems at TU Dresden and Pedro Moura Trancoso, Senior Lecturer in the Computer Engineering Division at Chalmers University.
Topics to be addressed in its workshops and tutorials include software development for high performance parallel systems, embedded computer architectures and low-power solutions. Likewise there will also be workshops based on industrial and community projects.
Finally, the achievements of HiPEAC conferences in previous years have encouraged the 2019 organisers to try to follow this success story again with Valencia as the host city. The Valencia Conference Centre won the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) award for the highest client rating , and is the main congress and conference venue in Valencia. The facility has excellent accessibility as it is close to the city’s high-speed train station and airport and there are 1,000 hotel rooms within walking distance from it.
