The Valencia Conference Centre and Trílope, shortlisted for the Eventoplus Awards

The Valencia Conference Centre, together with the advertising agency Trílope, has been shortlisted for the 13th Eventoplus Awards, out of a total of 220 candidates.
The 20 categories included in these awards, organised by the Eventoplus Group, recognise the best events (congresses, conferences, conventions, cultural, sporting, …) and components (catering, entertainment, communication, spaces, assembly, …) held during the previous year.
The 32nd AECOC Consumer Congress, held last October at the Valencian venue, is the event which has been shortlisted for the Best Congress award. The joint candidacy presented by the Valencia Conference Centre and Trílope recognises regularly scheduled training events promoted by an NGO, with a mainly informative objective, encouraging progress, knowledge exchange and discussion, and the strengthening of relations in the sector. The congress organised by AECOC brought together over 1,100 business owners, directors and managers from the consumer goods industry and distribution sector at the Conference Centre. The theme of the Congress, TO BE or NOT TO BE, was transmitted via avant-garde technology, through a unique design of space and furniture, which created a changing and totally unique backdrop. Even the personalised catering service brought a message of adapting to the principles of being competitive, sustainable and omnichannel, as the basis for the existence of companies.
The criteria used to select the shortlisted organisations are based on four main areas: strategy, creativity and innovation, production and impact, as well as taking into account the events that involve a “challenge” and are a model that inspires others.
In addtion to this candidacy, the Conference Centre is also present as a venue with another shortlisted candidate. Valencia Turevents has also been shortlisted in the Best Congress category for the 40th European Accounting Association (EAA) Congress, held at the Centre in May 2017.
The winners will be revealed on 5th July at the Eventoplus Awards ceremony gala held in the Madrid Arena Multipurpose Pavilion, which will be attended by over 900 personalities from the industry. If you would like to see what the 32nd AECOC Congress looked like, watch the shortlisted video here.
