Until the end of 2018, the Valencian venue will be welcoming a total of over 18,000 people to its facilities (congresses, conventions, conferences and shows).

Seven national and international congresses will be held, making a major economic contribution to the city. They include the Longevity World Forum, the first congress on longevity, genomics and precision medicine, which will bring together leading figures such as María Blasco, who has a PhD in Molecular Biology and is the director of the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre.

However, congresses will not be the only events attracting international audiences. Conventions will also play a very important role in this area, and especially the convention held by Framesi, a leading international hairdressing firm, which will be turning the Conference Centre into the world’s most important meeting point for professional stylists from 35 countries, The Conference Centre’s stage will be transformed into a real fashion catwalk to showcase the hairstyles that will be in fashion during the coming autumn-winter season.

One-day conferences will also be gaining in importance. In fact, given the success of its event last year, the Digital & Social Marketing Congress DSMValencia 2018 has decided to stage its conference at the Centre again this year. Thus, industry professionals such as Inge Sáez and Iñaki Tovar are scheduled to participate in an event that aims to consolidate its position in the world of new technologies.

Cadena SER will also be staging its second Branding Day. Experts from the business world, such as the writer and philosopher Elsa Punset, will be giving conferences, workshops, master classes and other activities in order to give participants pointers and keys to building a successful business. One of the keys is communication, an indispensable tool in today’s highly competitive environment.

Finally, the shows include ‘God Save the Queen‘, led by Pablo Padín, who bears an incredible resemblance to Freddie Mercury, and ‘Hija de la Luna‘, who will perform songs by Mecano with the original arrangements. Both will be paying tribute to two of the most important groups of the 20th century, Queen at international level and Mecano at national level, which continue to be hugely popular with the general public.
