Valencia Conference Centre will host the 57th SEPAR Congress

The leading Spanish-speaking international congress on respiratory medicine will be held from 6 to 8 June

The SEPAR Congress, organised by the Spanish Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR), has now become the main international Spanish-speaking scientific forum on respiratory medicine. From 6 to 8 June 2024, the Valencia Conference Centre will become the meeting point for professionals from all over the world, where they will be able to share their knowledge and experiences to improve the respiratory health of the population.

This annual meeting gives the respiratory scientific community the opportunity to learn about major scientific and technological developments in respiratory pathology and provides an ideal environment for the exchange of ideas. It also makes a significant contribution to the development of respiratory medicine and to the improvement of the quality of life of patients all over the world.

Over the course of three days, the Congress expects to bring together around 2,000 participants, who will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities, conferences, debates and scientific sessions, in which the most topical issues in respiratory pathology will be addressed.

Under the slogan “Respiratory Health for all”, the 57th SEPAR Congress will also include activities to raise awareness among the general public about the importance of caring for and protecting our respiratory system. These different initiatives aim to promote healthy lifestyle, improve the quality of the air we breathe and raise awareness of the importance of climate change and its impact on respiratory diseases.

Besides being a venue for academic discussion, the Congress will host the 7th Forum for patients with respiratory diseases “Breathing together”, organised by the SEPARpatients Committee. This side event will give both patients and families the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from experts.

The last SEPAR Congress held in Valencia took place in 1995. Since then, the city has undergone a major change, having been designated European Green Capital in 2024. Valencia is the perfect mix of modernity, tradition, culture and gastronomy, which makes it an excellent setting for the celebration of this event.
