These are the details behind our latest quality and environmental audit.
We did it again! The Valencia Conference Centre has successfully passed the follow-up audit for the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System certifications. This management tool evaluates the effectiveness of our quality management system in accordance with the established requirements. Its objective is to set up and refine operating procedures and quality standards, assess risks and thus ensure continuous improvement.
After a thorough, in-depth review of all the Conference Centre’s procedures and instructions in line with certification requirements, our quality management system was approved as being compliant with the relevant standards and their degree of implementation throughout the organisation.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification recognises the quality of our management system, which contributes to continuous improvements in our performance and positions us as a benchmark. The ISO 14001:2015 standard endorses the team’s commitment to the environment, thanks to the minimisation of impacts and the sustainable management of resources. This represents a further step forward in protecting the environment, involving all the stakeholders that take part in our activities.
The ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management audits have shown that the Conference Centre manages its resources appropriately, striking the necessary balance to make congress activities compatible with respect for the environment, thus promoting sustainable development. This enables us to contribute to the positioning of our venue as a socially responsible organisation and to Valencia’s sustained position as a benchmark in quality and environmental management and as a preferential destination for the MICE industry, giving us a competitive advantage, especially on the international stage.
In the near future, we plan to request and conduct the audit to certify that the Valencia Conference Centre complies with the requirements of the UNE 187004:2008 standard and to continue with the Q for Tourism Quality certificate. This quality mark is designed to show and demonstrate the level of quality applied in the service and facility areas of our congress activities.
