Knowledge of physiology, of the dysfunctions of the pelvic floor and of the risk factors associated with their appearance has developed dramatically over the past few years. There have also been huge advances in prevention, diagnosis and pharmaceutical and surgical treatment of these dysfunctions. These advances are all part of the Fifth National Pelvic Floor Congress which is to be held at the Valencia Conference Centre from 28th-30th April.
