2025-2029 Sustainability Plan Presentation
We have just concluded the most successful year in Valencia Conference Centre’s history, at the forefront of the MICE sector's ongoing evolution
At the Valencia Conference Centre, we have developed a comprehensive and ambitious roadmap that further underscores our dedication to sustainable development. Presented to the Board of Directors, our team and our strategic allies, this initiative positions us as leaders in the MICE sector, with a clear objective: to consolidate Valencia as an international benchmark in sustainability.
Our 2025-2029 Sustainability Plan is not limited to reducing environmental impact but comprehensively addresses the fundamental pillars that define our purpose: people, the environment and the local economy. Our goal is to be a catalyst for positive change, driving our city’s sustainable development and leaving an inspirational footprint as we look to the future.
To achieve our sustainability vision, we have defined four strategic axes that encompass the fundamental pillars of our impact and that will guide our actions towards a greener, more inclusive and competitive future. This will consolidate the Valencia Conference Centre as a benchmark in the MICE sector and a driver of positive change for our community in environment, society, governance and the economy.
Environmental Axis: We are committed to building a more environmentally friendly future. By 2025, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint by 40% by implementing energy efficiency measures and promoting the use of renewable energies, consolidating the Conference Centre as a benchmark in environmental sustainability.
Social Axis: We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse society. By 2025, the objective is for at least 30% of the events held in our facilities to include people with disabilities, thereby ensuring that the Conference Centre becomes an accessible space.
Governance Axis: Transparency and collaboration will be our relations’ cornerstones with our strategic partners. Furthermore, we will be transitioning towards digitalisation to enhance the decision-making process and strengthen our internal management.
Economic Axis: We have invested in innovation and cutting-edge technology, as exemplified by the NextGenerationEU funded Digital Twin project, thereby ensuring its position at the forefront of the MICE sector’s evolution.
2025 will mark the beginning of our transformation, where ideas will be transformed into concrete actions with measurable impact in each of our strategic areas. Due to our team’s dedication and enthusiasm, we are redefining the event organisation sector to establish a sustainable, inclusive and innovative legacy that will be of benefit to both Valencia and the rest of the world.
