The Valencia Conference Centre is very proud to held the 37th International Conference on High Energy Physics (ICHEP) in Valencia from the 2nd to the 9th July 2014. Spain was one of the thirteen initial members of IUPAP in 1922 but this is the first time that Spain hosts this conference.
ICHEP is a series of international conferences organized by the C11 commission of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). It is held every second year since more than 50 years and is the reference conference of particle physics where most relevant results are presented.
The workshop will consist of parallel and invited plenary sessions. A poster session will emphasize the work and results of young PhD students. Two special sessions complementary to the workshop will commemorate the 60th anniversary of CERN. A first one will cover technological and social impact whereas the second one will focus on scientific results. The conference provides the place and forum to plan major future facilities of the field.
The congress will also include several art exhibitions, including the photo gallery “Revealing Lives: Women in Science 1830-2000” and “Women in Physics in the Palestinian Territories”.
