New seats and carpets to be fitted in auditoriums 1 and 2 of the Valencia Conference Centre
Emiliano García: “The renovation exemplifies the standards of excellence which define the entity's facilities and services"
The Valencia Conference Centre has now begun the process to renovate auditoriums 1 and 2, replacing all the current seats and carpets with new ones of the latest generation, which will be unveiled at the start of September. Emiliano García, CEO of the entity, stresses that “the renovation of the seats exemplifies the standards of excellence which define the facilities and services of the Valencia Conference Centre”.
After operating for 21 years, hosting almost 3,000 events and receiving some two million attendees, the Valencia Conference Centre has now completed the process of public bidding for the replacement of the seats and carpets in its auditoriums. Following the public health crisis and with projections of growth in its activity, the board of directors of the Conference Centre awarded the contract to the company Ascender for the sum of 997,131 euros.
Ascender, a company headquartered in La Rioja and with over 20 years’ experience in the sector, presented a bid with technical characteristics of the very highest level. The entire analysis of bids, by means of technical studies, verification of weights, measurements, qualities, resistance, acoustics, etc., was carried out by the Valencia Biomechanics Institute (IBV), which had previously established all the conditions, technical requirements and ratings of the bid specifications. The IBV drew up the technical report, which was approved by the board and the contracting authority.
The old seats and carpets of the auditoriums will be removed and the new ones installed between the 18th of July and the 31st of August 2022. Emiliano García has announced that “the first event with the new seats will be held on the 5th of September, marking the start of a period of intense conference activity for Valencia”
