The Valencia Conference Centre has been chosen as the venue for the 5
th International Educational Marketing Congress – EDUKETING 2015 which, on this occasion, will be held on 19th and 20th February, and is entitled “Attracting students and increasing loyalty in educational establishments”. The event is set to bring over 600 delegates to the city.
In its fifth consecutive year, Eduketing returns to the city where it was first staged in 2011 with a programme featuring over 20 speakers who will be sharing know-how, offering advice and describing the advantages of educational marketing through conferences and debates in the unique framework that this congress always provides.
The facilities and equipment available in the Valencia Conference Centre make it the ideal venue to host this massively attended congress which will provide delegates with an insight into the “Eduexperience” tool, a case study in which educational establishments will be giving examples of their experiences and results through the use of educational marketing techniques.
The Eduketing congress is the result of the work of two important organisations: the Institute of Educational Quality (ICP) and the General Council of Spanish Associations of Educators and Educational Psychologists. According to the event’s directors, this will be “the largest congress ever boosted by the vitality of the educational sector”.
The event programme is based on the general idea that it is essential to correctly implement a marketing plan to improve a centre’s management, optimising its services and communication in the educational community. Aspects under discussion will include the management and leadership of educational establishments, the excellence of their services, and catering for the needs of teachers, parents and students as a way to gain a firm foothold in the educational environment. In addition, it will look at the importance of alumni as the best consumer motivators when recommending a centre.
In short, the idea is to stand out from other educational establishments. In the words of Enrique Castillejo and Javier Muñoz, EDUKETING’s directors, delegates at the congress “are not only going to discover how to do things but also find out why they need to do them. They are not only going to be told how to use educational marketing but also why they need to use it”.
The quality of previous congresses has made EDUKETING an international benchmark in the search for quality in education and in the use of marketing in the educational sector. It is also renowned for its pedagogical conferences for teachers and managers. Numerous companies involved in this major project will be sponsoring and attending the Congress, showcasing the latest advances in the industry.
The Valencia Conference Centre, which specialises in holding large-scale congresses and conventions, is also an experienced venue in the educational sector, having played host in the past to events such as the 2014 EURAM (European Academy of Management) Annual Conference on education and strategic leadership; the 3rd Excellence in Education Congress; the 6th Spanish Social Education Congress and the 18th European Congress of Psychotherapy.
