2021, the year of the comeback, in which the attendance at events has returned

This year has also seen the strengthening of our strategic pillars: digitalisation, competitiveness and sustainability.

A year that will always be marked as the year of resilience, of the comeback, of the overcoming of the team of the València Conference Centre.

This year began in the midst of the third wave of the pandemic, with the agenda of national and international events once again faltering. Thanks in particular to the strong security protocols we put in place in the building and the skills of the team with our partner companies, we managed to maintain trust with our customers and turned the situation around.

We’ll explain it in figures

In 2021, our activity generated double the revenue of the previous year and the annual agenda recorded a total of 84 events and 50,925 attendees. Of these, 19 were conferences and conventions, and 90% were national and international conferences. During this year, 89 proposals for large-scale events were also submitted, which will boost the centre’s current and future portfolio, and of which 53 conferences have already been confirmed until 2024. These are very positive figures that give us wings to face 2022.

In fact, the forecasts for next year are very similar to those for 2019 and with a strong international component, which will reach 53% of the business. For the coming year, we have confirmed 28 congresses and conventions, which will be attended by 21,250 people.

These figures have also been achieved thanks to the strengthening of our strategic pillars: digitalisation, competitiveness and sustainability. These are the axes that are once again promoting the València Conference Centre as a reference and competitive venue on a national and international level.
