In our aim to comply with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and thanks to the sustainable initiatives implemented, we have obtained efficient energy consumption results.

Would you like to find out more about the results of our energy consumption policy? You can now receive information on the energy and water consumption and expenditure at the Conference Centre and at the rest of the local energy consumption points that depend on the City Council and their progress in recent years, thanks to the mobile phone App, “Our City, our Energy”. This application showcases the importance of applying sustainable measures and how they have evolved in recent years. It also encourages public-sector and citizen commitment to common issues in a transparent and accessible format.

These are some of the keys to our management results: whereas our business is expected to increase by 31.8% in 2019, total consumption (electricity, water, gas) will increase by 5.5%. If we focus on electricity consumption, we can see while our business has increased by 24.5% since 2015, our electricity usage has only risen by 3.8% since 2015.

These figures support the effectiveness of the numerous sustainable investments we have implemented, which represent 40% of the total investments made in the building, facilitating responsible management of resources and a reduction in the environmental impact of our operations. These initiatives are based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which include guaranteeing access to affordable and non-polluting energy, making cities sustainable, adopting urgent measures to combat climate change and its impacts, guaranteeing sustainable consumption and production patterns, and investing in infrastructure to achieve sustainable development.
