We have renewed our cooperation agreement with ADEIT to attract conferences to Valencia

30 conferences with 40,000 overnight stays in the city is the outcome of the close partnership we have had with the University of Valencia since 2016.

Since 2016 every year we have forged closer ties with ADEIT. What does the renewal of this agreement mean?

We teamed up with ADEIT to attract events which would have a major economic and social impact on our city. These ongoing efforts by the two institutions largely take place through our ambassadors, who are the acclaimed professionals from Spain and abroad who are passionate about Valencia and decide to take the city around the world and make it into a touchstone in the conference industry.

Indeed, 15% of our ambassadors are from the University of Valencia.

This agreement enables us to build closer ties with the University of Valencia for organising and hosting conferences at our venue. Right from the outset the Conference Centre’s team delivers its full support for presenting a bid and as an intermediary throughout the process with the other stakeholders such as hotels and the Convention Bureau.

As a result of this partnership we have confirmed four new international conferences sponsored by the University of Valencia for our future programme, including the 22nd International Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation and the Edoardo Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves.

If you’re an expert in your sector and would like to join our community of over 600 ambassadors featuring scientists, doctors, lecturers and other acclaimed professionals from Spain and abroad who are passionate about Valencia, then this is the place for you.

You can read more about this topic here in the press release which we have also posted on our website.
